Bathymetry Mapping

ReMetrix uses advanced digital echosounders linked to a pinpoint-accuracy Differential GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) system to collect thorough and accurate water depth readings. During a single day, the ReMetrix data collection method can collect more than 100,000 specific water depth readings. This great abundance of precise field data significantly improves the accuracy of final contour maps and water volume tables.e aquatic plants for the bottom of a waterbody, the low-frequency transducers employed by ReMetrix are designed for measuring the true bottom even through dense aquatic plant beds.

Bathymetry maps for most lakes should be periodically updated. Maps more than ten years old can be drastically inaccurate due to ongoing sedimentation , eutrophication and channelization. In addition, data provided by the progressive ReMetrix approach is far more reliable than data provided by the less-advanced technology used to create earlier bathymetry maps.
